Fall is right around the corner and that means we have almost made it to the New Testament. Beginning in September Our Bible Year readings find us beginning with the Gospel of Matthew and working our way through the rest of the Bible. Our small groups will resume meeting on a weekly basis beginning on September 6 and 7. The weekly gatherings include: online on Mondays, Wednesday night at 6:00 pm and Thursdays at 11:00 am in the church parlor. Even if you had not been able to attend in 2023 – now is the time. I enjoyed so much last year working with the Disciple Fast Track Bible Study. We had a great group and learned so much together! We will be offering another Disciple opportunity beginning this fall. The chosen Disciple is: Under the Tree of Life and is our own modified “Fast Track”. This 24 week series will begin with a section of the Bible called The Writings, and then transition to the Gospel of John, 1, 2, 3 John, James, Jude, and Revelation. It is not necessary to have taken any Disciple class before to participate in this one. Pastor Jonathan and I will be leading this study together. In Disciple, each person has a study guide that will take you through each week with daily readings of Scripture that will help prepare you for each week’s meeting. We will meet on Thursdays at 7:00 pm beginning September 21. A virtual option through Zoom will be offered. We are excited to announce the fall Women’s Bible study - Acts: Awakening to God in Everyday Life by Melissa Spoelstra.

We will study the first followers of Jesus and the early birth of the church. From the experiences of the early followers, we will learn ways to attune our own spiritual heart to experience God’s presence, His voice and God’s work all around us. This study will prepare us to face daily battles, discern the messages of our current culture and prepare us to share God’s love with others always.

Our study will begin September 19 at 10:00a.m. in classroom 205 of our Educational Building. Books are in our library ready for purchase at $15. This time of fellowship and study bring women together to share God’s Word, pray collectively, and develop Christian sisterhood.
