With Christians around the world, we confess faith in the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Christian faith has been summarized in two historic confessions: The Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed.  These creeds form the core of our Christian belief, but we also emphasize that our faith must be lived out in the world through the service of love.  As the Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 13, we can have all faith so as to remove mountains, but if we do not have love, we are a noisy gong and a clashing cymbal.  We invite you to explore more about the beliefs of the United Methodist Church here.

In our worship services at Mt. Zion, we generally follow the seasons of the Christian year:

  • Advent:  Christ and His Coming are awaited
  • Christmas:  Christ is born
  • Epiphany:  Christ is made known for all the world's people
  • Lent:  Christ came to reconcile us to God
  • Easter: Christ was resurrected, defeating sin and death
  • Pentecost: the Holy Spirit comes so that the Church may faithfully follow Jesus Christ and be a sign, herald, and foretaste of the Kingdom of God.

All of the services and sermons are planned and freshly designed from the Word of God and with the purpose of sharing Christ in this manner.
