Sunday School

Sunday School classes occur each Sunday morning from 9:45-10:40am.

Children

Children's Ministries at Mt. Zion have the same mission as our church: to make, mature and mobilize disciples for Jesus Christ. Our Sunday School classes are designed to make disciples by introducing children to a loving Creator God, a Savior, Jesus, and a guiding Holy Spirit.

A Nursery/Childcare is provided for children ages infants through 2 years old from 8:20 am - 12:00 noon, each Sunday, staffed by two paid caregivers plus adult volunteers from our church family. This nursery gives parents the choice of attending any of our three worship services or an adult Sunday School class. In addition, a nursery/childcare is provided during the 11:00 worship service for children ages 2-4 years old.

Preschool Sunday School classes use Rock Solid United Methodist curriculum to give children a foundation of stories of people of faith in the scriptures.

Elementary Sunday School classes use the Live B.I.G. United Methodist curriculum, which stands for “Live your Belief In God.” This curriculum includes a DVD component. The Live B.I.G. Bible stories and themes focus on teaching children to live out their faith boldly knowing three important truths: God is a great big God; God loves us with a great big love; We are a part of God’s great big world.

Youth

Youth Sunday School Classes (9:45-10:40 am):

Sixth Grade foundational study of the Old Testament.
Seventh and Eighth Grades foundational study of the New Testament.
Ninth-Twelfth Grades foundational study of the New Testament.
