Appalachia service project

Appalachia Service Project is a Christian Ministry, open to all people, that inspires hope and service through volunteer home repair and replacement.  Each summer, a group of Mt. Zion high-school youth, college students, and adults travel to the mountains of Appalachia for a week working to make homes warmer, safer, and drier.  Mt. Zion has been participating in this mission for over 30 years.  Our last trip including three generations from one family.  Serving through ASP is at the heart of the Mt. Zion community.

Magical Mountain Christmas

This extraordinary ministry provides toys, Christmas gifts, food, and clothing to many needy families in the Appalachian Mountains.  One weekend each December, a group of volunteers, including high-school youth, adults, and entire families from Mt. Zion travel to the Appalachian Mountains to share the love of Christmas.

The vision of Youthworks is to help empower every teenager to know God and be like Jesus in the ways they love and serve others.  Last year Mt. Zion added this summer service opportunity for both middle school and high school students through a trip to Savannah, GA.  In the summer of 2020, youth will travel to West Virginia to learn and serve in the community.
