Congregational care

The gift of life that we have been given is filled with both mountain top experiences and times spent in the wilderness. As the Body of Christ, we are called to journey through life together. From the birth of a child, an illness, or the loss of a loved one, we are called and gifted to provide connection, friendship, and comfort.

"Your strong love for each other will prove to the world that you are my disciples."

-John 13:35

The vision for Mt. Zion's Congregational Care Ministry is to develop a ministry team of lay people who assist the pastoral staff in offering care and support to families and individuals in a personal and compassionate way.

If you are in need of our Congregational Care Ministry, call our church office at 704-892-8566 or email our

the ministry we offer

PRAYERS:

The Mt. Zion Prayer Team receives weekly prayer requests so they may pray for individuals in our church and community.

VISITATION:

In addition to visits from the Congregational Care Pastor, caring visits are made by members of our team to those who are unable to worship with us for a variety of reasons.

CARING CARDS:

Our Prayer Team also sends out Caring Cards to those we are praying for, who have been sick or in the hospital, or have recently lost a loved one.

RUTH MINISTRY:

At times, we all need someone who can walk beside us in our journey of faith in difficult times. A Ruth Minister is a Congregational Care Minister who comes alongside us during very difficult seasons in our lives.

GRIEF MINISTRY:

Caring members are available to serve families before, during and after funeral/memorial services.
