What is M.a.n.A.?

M.a.n.A. (Men and Nature Adventures) is a mens adventure ministry created by Matt Sherrill, with the help of Lee Sossamon, in 2009. It is designed for the sole purpose of getting men back into nature where they were made and to recapture their hearts for God. The ministry provides a non-threatening atmosphere that is open to any men 18 years and older.

In the Hebrew Scriptures we read that God provided manna for his people while they were in the wilderness and it was exactly what they needed to survive (see Exodus 16). The underlying meaning of M.a.n.A. is God’s provision for men. And since God created man in the beginning from the dirt and placed him in the wilderness (see Genesis 2), M.a.n.A. is a way for men to receive God’s provision for their lives through experiencing God in nature.

M.a.n.A. strongly encourages men to become stronger disciples for Christ and actively serve their church, family, and neighbors.

What does M.a.n.A. do?

M.a.n.A. currently plans, organizes, and leads two adventures a year. This usually consists of, but is not limited to, a backpacking adventure in the fall and a canoe, camping trip in the spring.

M.a.n.A. also occasionally provides training seminars for people interesting in learning basic camping/backpacking/survival skills.
