Our 11:00 AM service is a 'traditional service' and features our chancel choir and often children or hand bell ensembles. It is traditional in nature, but always stirring in offering the full grandeur and "holy experience" of a service agelessly grounded. Every first Sunday of the month, Communion is celebrated.

The foundation of the DISCIPLE Bible Study program. DISCIPLE BIBLE STUDY believes that the bible can bring renewal to the church and the individual. It recognizes the human-divine nature of the Bible. DISCIPLE affirms that the canon was formed for God to speak to us. BECOMING DISCIPLES THROUGH BIBLE STUDY gives equal time to both the Old and New Testament, emphasizing the whole Bible as God’s revelation. DISCIPLE aims at transformation, not just information. DISCIPLE invites all to bring their experiences and struggles to the Scriptures. DISCIPLE draws upon the work of scholars, the personal Bible reading and study of the participant, and dynamic group discussion to aid understanding of the Bible.

DISCIPLE III – REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE This group studies most of the Old Testament Prophets and the letters of the Apostle Paul. The importance of the connection between memory and identity as the people of God is explored. The word You in the title is meant to be heard both in its singular form (the individual) and its plural form (the community). We are a community of memory. Several themes weave their way through the study – the call to remember; the call to repentance; the need for renewed vision; and the place of community. The prophets and Paul are continually calling hearers and readers back to their God and to a sense of who they are as a people “set apart”. To establish the historical context in which the prophets spoke for God, daily reading assignments draw also on the books of Deuteronomy through Chronicles.

Elementary Music and Arts Camp

Sing, Create and Play - CHILDREN'S MUSIC AND ARTS CAMP
This camp is for rising 1st through rising 5th graders. Activities will include music , art and recreation. This summer we will be learning the mini musical called "Something's Fishy" to be presented on the last day of camp. We will also be sharing in the 11 am worship, on June 28th, excerpts from this musical. Please make every effort to have your child at the Sunday worship experience. Enrollment is limited to 30 students.
Deadline for registration is June 1.
Registration will be extended should we have open spots on June 1.

Preschool Music and Arts Camp is July 6-9: 9AM – 11:30AM
This camp is for ages 3 through rising Kindergarten. Because of our space challenges, enrollment is limited to 20 students. Church members will be given priority for available spots in February by emailing Marcy at mmittelstadt@mtzionumc.net. Community friends may enroll on March 1, if we have available room. There will be no online enrollment available.
Campers will be participating in music, art and movement activities in a Christian setting.

Vacation Bible School is Monday, July 13-Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 6:30-8:30pm.
The theme is: Everest "Conquering Challenges with God's Mighty Power"
Vacation Bible School is for any child ages 3 years old (as of July 1, 2015) through rising fifth graders.
We will also have at the same time a Jak Preschool for two year olds (2 as of July 1, 2015). Space is limited in the Jak class and serves children of parents volunteering first.
